It’s time for the summary of Ozotic’s Multi Chromatic polishes! I don’t usually blog in English but since I haven’t found that many summaries about them out there I thought I’d make a contribution to the vast database that is the Internet! For you who prefers Swedish: there is text for you at the bottom of the post :)
Ozotic is an Australian polish brand that is a bit hard to get your hands on if you don’t happen to live down under. I have ordered mine from PicturePolish, an Australian e-tailer with the most cheerful customer service you could ever imagine, they are lovely! The polishes are expensive, especially when you include the shipping from the other side of the planet, but worth every penny to me! The names are not on the bottles, only on the website, that’s why I put them in brackets. If you want to Google for the polishes you are better off using the numbers.
And I have to recommend: even if you don’t understand Swedish, do click the link below each picture to the individual blog post for more pictures of them. It’s very hard to show of all the colors in just a few pictures! Additionally, these polishes are a nightmare to photograph, especially if you have a rubbish camera like me, so unfortunately I cannot make these beautiful colors complete justice.
First up is 502 (Sands), a very autumn’y polish that flashes in mostly gold and copper but also a bit purple at certain angles. So pretty!
Next is 503 (Rainforest) which is a green beauty. This is the least multichrome in the bunch, it’s more of a duochrome. But the color combination is rather unique with different shades of green pared up with gray. It’s also a bit purple in the bottle but that isn’t visible on the nails.
504 (Twilight) is mainly purple, but it’s every shade of purple possible, from almost red to deep inc blue, and then a hint of golden peach flashes by sometimes. Stunning!
505 (Eclipse) is my personal favorite! It’s just like an oil stain with all the colors of the rainbow at once. I included a bottle-picture to show you how gorgeous this is even in the bottle. And that effect really shows up on the nails, which is awesome! How many bottles of pretty polishes have we not bought, just to find out that they’re not as pretty outside of the bottle? Not with this baby! Love!
506 (Reef) is very similar to 505; the difference being that 505 is slightly more green while 506 is more blue. It’s every shade from blue through purple to gold.
I bet you are expecting 507, but the next is actually called 520 (Molten). I really hope they make polishes for all the numbers in between some day! This is another autumn-colored polish but it is even more copper and red toned that 502. It’s also got a tad purple in it. Love this!
And then finally 521 (Sunset). This is a combination of golden and purple tones, ranging from almost red to dark blue. The golden-peach-copper tones are quite prominent as well. So beautiful.
That’s all of them! Now to the formula. These are not polishes that make sense on their own, they are meant to be layered over something. I have layered them over black creme in these pictures in order to show the colors more accurately, but they are very pretty over other dark colors as well. Two to three coats will show off maximum effect, except for 520 where one coat is plenty… for some reason. They are also very easy to work with.
Overall I really love all of them and I am so happy I’ve got them, even though some of them are quite similar. If you can only get one I have to recommend 505, it is simply unique and completely breathtaking!
Hope you’ve enjoyed! Feel free to leave a comment if you feel like it!
